Why have we chosen ADDIE’s Model?
- It helps structure our course by breaking down complex processes involved in content creation.
- It provides us with an opportunity to research, introspect, and perfect our end product.
- It prevents us from getting confused with the process, it helped us approach the course in a sequential manner.
- It is simple to understand, thus, making it highly adaptable to our requirements.

Let us explore other models and frameworks
Branch and Kopcha (2002) explained that the following characteristics should be central to any model of creation that you may use or create:
- The learner/audience is at the center of the process.
- Effective pre-defined goals are essential.
- Focus on real-world application.
- The outcomes of the process should be measurable, thus the creation of measurement instruments is key.
- Empirical data informs the entire process.
- The process usually involves teamwork and reviews.
