3.Feedback from Learners
The third method through which you can evaluate the effectiveness of the content is by getting feedback from the learners after you have released the artefact, making it part of your summative evaluations.
Depending on the type of artefact, you can look at various avenues for feedback. Ranging from YouTube likes to a feedback survey, tracking engagement, and analyzing learners’ responses on Check for Understanding.
Let’s see how to create a feedback survey
Design a feedback survey which has these 8 Characteristics of a good feedback survey:

- Evokes the truth. Ask for an answer in only one dimension.
- Can accommodate all possible choice of answers. A good practice is to allow for multiple responses.
- Flow well from the previous question.
- Does not imply a desired answer. Remember to use objectivity in your questions.
- Do not ask the respondent to rank more than five items in a given series.
- Put personal questions at the end of the survey.
- Give respondents the option to not answer the question.
- Use one or two open-ended questions. This invokes direct, well thought out answers.
