3.2 Backward Design Principle (GAP)

To understand backward design, let’s begin with an activity.

How will you teach someone to make a bowl of Maggi?Would you demonstrate how to make it yourself? Would you give them a recipe and ask them to carry out the steps?
How will you know if the learner was successful?Would you consider them successful if they only boiled the Maggi without putting in masala? Would you consider them successful if they put in the masala but did not put in any vegetables?

What learners will do at the end of the lesson is defined as the goal.

We will understand whether learners have achieved this goal by conducting an assessment.

The plan must be based on the goal and assessment.
