Importance of Naming Sources
As a teacher, naming sources and putting up the correct citations for the materials you use are essential. When you use materials that you haven’t created yourself, you should put up the source from where you got it. Even if you create your own resource, for example using Edpuzzle or Screencastify, you can mention the source of any videos, text, or images embedded in the resource, as well as the tool you used to create it. When you cite sources, it sets an example for students. Especially in higher classes, students are expected to cite the information sources they use and are more likely to do this if their teachers are modeling this behaviour for them.
