Universal Design for Learning
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a manner of instruction that supports flexible ways to teach lessons, and multiple ways for students to show what they know. The goal is to reach all learners, including students with disabilities.
Here is how UDL helps in making classrooms inclusive:
(1) UDL is inclusionary as it emphasizes and develops individual skills and abilities
(2) Students with different attention spans and interests can be engaged with UDL
(3) With UDL, learning can be aligned for students with diverse backgrounds
Universal Design for Learning has three qualities, known as the “3-Ms“:
First Quality: Multiple ways to represent content

Second Quality: Multiple ways to engage students

Third Quality: Multiple ways students can express themselves
