A common problem that often occurs is that most educators keep the content/topic/concept/idea in mind but fail to check if the assessment is aligned to the SKILL in the Learning Objective.

Examples of Assessments at Different Bloom’s levels

The MCQs at the end of a course or a lesson is based on these learning objectives and needs to be aligned with them in order to thoroughly assess a learner. In the next topic, we will learn more about constructing MCQs and how we can align them with Bloom’s Taxonomy. Yes, MCQs are not simply limited to assessing memorization skills but can also be used to test the application skills of a learner.
